How much will this cost on my house?
Every house is completely different on the cost for a grid-tie solar panel system. The best way to quickly estimate that number is multiply your average yearly light bill by 10. This will give you an idea of what the total cost is.
How much maintanance is required?
Almost none! The panels may need rinsed off every few years but that’s it. There are no batteries to replace with a grid-tie system.
Do I still have electricity when the power goes out (Grid Tie)?
Sadly, no. When the power company (grid) goes down, your panel system must shut down to protect the workers fixing the lines. As soon as the grid is back up, your system will automatically start working for you again.
Does the power company write me a check?
This is a tricky question. Every power company has their own rules to play by. Most Arkansas companies will write you a check if you carry a balance for 24 months. Our goal, when designing your system, is to make your bill average out to zero over the course of the year.
